If we weren't already excited enough for Small Business Saturday, we now have more reason to be. If this is your first rodeo, Small Business Saturday has happened every year since it was conceived in 2010, as a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We were so grateful for everyone's support over the years, and can’t wait to celebrate with you this year. Join us on Saturday November 24th starting at 11a. We will be serving mimosas and handing out FREE tote bags to the first shoppers who make a purchase.
From 11a-5p gather maker, Courtney from Bored Inc will be popping up with a special collection of her enamel pins, patches, cards, prints, and totes. Her RBG enamel pins could quite possibly be our most popular selling item ever! Grab the best stocking stuffers and meet the artist.
Additionally, Kristina of Lacson Ravello will be in the shop from 11a-5p with her locally made clothing. Her dresses and tops are perfect for your holiday parties or gifting to your bestie. Meet the designer and try on her gorgeous designs.
Also, Alejandra León of The Lioness Oracle will be on hand doing Tarot Card readings from 11a-1p. Readings are 20 minutes and cost $40. Show up early to make sure you get on the list. This is an experience not to be missed!

Join us on Sunday October 21st from noon-4p as we participate in Passport - SFAC Galleries’ 10th annual DIY art collecting experience. SFAC Galleries’ signature event puts the art collecting experience in the hands of the general public! Local artists will be stationed in venues throughout Hayes Valley/Civic Center (including gather!) and Passport attendees can “create” their own limited-edition artist’s book by collecting original, artist-designed stamps in a customized “passport” notebook. Walking throughout Hayes Valley/Civic Center, hundreds of do-it-yourself art collectors will follow a designated route to collect stamps from emerging and established Bay Area artists while discovering small businesses in the neighborhood.
We will be hosting Grace Rosario Perkins, an Albuquerque and Bay Area-based artist who has spent most of her life living between city centers, as well the Navajo Nation, and the Gila River Indian Community. Her work examines cultural dissonance, disassembling and rebuilding personal history through explorations with color, abstraction, and language. We will be serving mimosas to celebrate and give passport participants 15% off their purchases in the shop from 12-4 that day!
It's that time of year again! Urban Air is taking over Hayes Valley on Sunday September 16th. From 11a-6p the streets will be shut down and filled with hundreds of artists set up selling their wares. We love this market, filled with many of our vendors, just right outside our door. We are celebrating that day with a special Pop Up! Rust and Flourish will be there for the day slinging her beautiful plants and flowers. Come grab some green friends for your apartment. Bare Snacks will also be joining us, serving up their delicious and healthy snacks gratis to our customers. And from 2-5p Salt Point will be pouring their tasty canned Greyhound, Moscow Mule and Gin Highball cocktails. What could be better than that? Come join the fun - we will be open special hours that Sunday from 11a-6p!
Join us September 15th-23rd as we host a special pop up in the shop with Handheld Handmade. Handheld Handmade is a new and delightful way to discover handmade goods, curated to your individual tastes. All done via your SMS messaging app! Just text POPUP to 202-800-9191 to join. You can buy handmade good via text - how cool is that? We're celebrating their launch with an IRL shopping experience. Part of gather will be completely transformed into a special Handheld Handmade mini shop. Their products, normally only available if you are a part of their text program, will be available for purchase in store. Summer is officially here and we're celebrating with a month long pop up with our favorite local florist Rust & Flourish in July. She'll be filling the shop with beautiful potted and loose plants, cute terrariums, and more. Bring summer indoors with a new green friend or two!

Selected retailers will be offering light refreshments and entertainment during extended business hours. We will be open late (at least till 8p) and hosting a pop up with our favorite Rust & Flourish. She's bringing beautiful potted plants to decorate your home with. Time to bring summer indoors! We will also have a free bath salt soak DIY station where you can make your own mix to take home with you (with any purchase over $10). O and it wouldn't be a party without the bubbly. Come stop by and sip and shop with us!
Join us Saturday December 16th with local florist Ricci Cande of Rust & Flourish who will be popping up at the shop with a special DIY Planting Bar. Pick from a variety of vessels, plants, and rocks and crystals to create your one of a kind potted beauty. Prices will range from $15-$30.

Join us for the 27th annual Holiday Block Party this Friday, December 1st from 6-9p and Saturday, December 2nd from 3-6p. Free and open to everyone, all the shops in the neighborhood will be open for extended holiday shopping accompanied with festive food, beverages, music, and fun!
On Friday at gather we will be hosting local artists Rebecca Saylor of OodleBaDoodleand Stephanie Bolton of SinceSass. They will be making custom re-usable wine tote bags perfect for gifting as a hostess gift this holiday. Pick out your design, watch the process, all while getting to know two of our favorite artists. They will also have more of their goods in store (pillows, ornaments, pouches, and more!) for the night for a special little trunk show.
On Saturday local florist Ricci Candle of Rust & Flourish with be popping up with her beautiful handmade wreaths, plants, mini Christmas trees, and dried bouquets. Perfect for decorating your home this holiday.
Both days we will have special drinks, a surprise discount, and a raffle to win a gift bag full of goodies from our vendors. See you there!
Small Business Saturday was started in 2010 to celebrate supporting local small businesses. This year will be our 4th year of participating and we couldn't be more excited! We were so grateful for those who shop at our little store so we want to thank you for supporting us and our makers! Join us Saturday November 25th for a special Pop Up and day of fun! Here's what's going on:
-Local florist Rust and Flourish will be popping up with beautiful handmade wreaths perfect for adorning your door this holiday season. She's also bringing beautiful plants to brighten up your office and home this winter.
-Local pastry and confection company Le Dix-Sept will be joining us with her delicious fresh baked pastries and nougats. They make a delightful treat for breakfast! Make sure you come before she sells out!
-Local clothing company, AsA will be bringing a special curated rack of their beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. Each garment is a work of art that has been slowly woven by hand or sewn from vintage fabrics by Oakland designer Tawny Holt.
-We will be giving away FREE tote bags to the first 20 shoppers
-Enjoy a FREE cup of cider to warm up while shopping
-Enter in our raffle to win a gift basket full of goodies made by our local and independent artists. Also included in the gift basket are 4 tickets to ANY show at the New Conservatory Theatre Center! How amazing is that?!

Come out and shop and support local artisans (many gather vendors will have booths!) and have a ball! The gather booth will be stocked with the best locally and independently made goods. It will be a little gather store satellite location for the weekend!

Join us at gather on Saturday July 8th from noon-4p as we host local clothing designer Theia Grazi and local florist Rust & Flourish for a special summer pop up!
Since 2011, friends Amy and Anya have been creating their clothing line Theia Grazi here in the bay area for every day women who want to look sophisticated without giving up comfort. They will be bringing everything from their Spring collection that we currently don't carry in the shop as well as amazing deals from past seasons. The designers will be on hand to style you and answer any questions you have about their process.
Rust & Flourish is an event and design studio based in Oakland who advocates of the slow-flower movement, striving to use locally sourced, seasonal, and foraged materials. Owner Ricci's love of flowers started at a very early age, when she would collage with her mother's garden and Martha Stewart magazines. She will be popping up for the day with various mini arrangements as well as fresh blooms to decorate your apartment with.
We will have mimosas on hand while you have fun trying on dresses and picking our flowers. What could be better? It's will be the perfect Summer day.
Kick off the holiday season the weekend after Thanksgiving as local Etsy sellers come together during their annual SF Etsy Team Indie Holiday Emporium! Come out and shop and support over 200 local artisans (many gather vendors will have booths!) and small batch food vendors at Pier 70 in the Dogpatch!
